Unistream Bank and the Union of Armenians of Russia (SAR) have announced a scheme to support migrant workers from Armenia who find themselves in a difficult situation due to the coronavirus pandemic. A special account has been opened in Unistream Bank, to which anyone can make a donation. The funds will be used to buy food and supply medical equipment. Targeted assistance will also be provided to families in need in Armenia.
Donations can be made by transferring any amount from a bank card to a Unistream Bank account by completing a simple form on the website at https://www.sarinfo.org/pozhertvovaniya. Unistream does not charge a commission for this operation.
All funds received will be distributed by a public commission established on the initiative of the President of the SAR, Ara Abrahamyan. Gagik Zakaryan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unistream Bank, is a member of the commission.
In a move aimed at supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs, Unistream has also dropped its charges for business registration and opening of accounts.
