Customers of online payment service Yandex.Money can now verify their identity at Unistream points all over Russia. They only need to show the passport, state the wallet’s number, and then confirm the information they provided via Yandex.Money website or app. Verification at Unistream offices takes just a few minutes and is available to visitors, as well as Russian citizens.
Under the laws of Russia, this procedure is mandatory for those who want to transfer money fr om a digital wallet. After verification, Yandex.Money customers can send funds to other wallets, bank cards or accounts, and make money transfers via Unistream. The latter will be paid out at any of the bank’s numerous points of service.
Thanks to verification, one-time payment credit limit is increased to 250 thousand roubles (over $3.800). The limit of a non-verified wallet is a mere 15 thousand ($230). The customer can also order a Yandex.Money card registered to their name and link it to the wallet. With the card, it is possible to make purchases on online platforms and in stores all over the world. The payment systems include Apple, Google and Samsung Pay. Cash withdrawal is available at any ATM — up to 10 thousand roubles ($150) per month with no commission, and 100 thousand roubles (over $1.500) at a time.
