The amount of transactions of the international money transfer system UNISTREAM increased by 29 percent in the first half of 2011. The overall reached $ 2.04bln. The number of transactions grew by 18 percent to 3.2 mln.
In the second quarter of 2011, the turnover amounted to almost $ 1.2 billion, the number of transactions to 1.8 million.
The experts of the system indicate high growth rates the system has been featuring for the past 6 months.
Thus, the number of partners worldwide amounted to 367 by the end of June. Network grew to 220 thousand outlets, including the terminal component. At the same time in Russia, for example, the number of service points, including terminals, rose to 124 500.
In his comments to the H1 activity results, UNISTREAM president Souren Hayriyan noted a high growth rates the system demonstrated on the main vectors of its development. He said considerable success has been reached promoting so-called addressless transfer option, unified client card as well as own terminals.
Commenting on the trends, Hayriyan said it was a period of extremely rapid changes in the market.
"Our customers require us to introduce new approaches. And it's not just only about flexible rates. Nowadays we are talking about innovative sales channels, a wide range of products and a whole set of new ideas in terms of quality and convenience. That makes us even more competitive, and that is what UNISTREAM management is mainly focused on,” he said.
