The general director for the international money transfers system UNIStream and president of the Unistream Bank, Souren Hayriyan highly valued the participation of the Unistream Bank in the Association of Russian Banks. The bank joined at the end of November.
Unistream Bank is the nuclear to the UNIStream international money transfers system. Holding the speech at the UNIStream managers’ board, Hayriyan said that it is difficult to overestimate the role the ARB plays in development of the Russian modern banking system.
“Nowadays the ARB is the organization to effectively promote the interests of credit organizations and make for consolidation of the banking community. It vitally assists in development of the banking business in Russia. The association unites 700 members, with over 560 out of which are credit organizations,” said Hayriyan.
He believes that participation in the ARB is one of the very important directions in development of the money transfers system.
“It is because the ARB opens new horizons to cooperate with others banks – ARB members, which is very important for signing new partnership agreements and attraction of new banks to the UNIStream money transfers system”, Hayriyan said.
Hayriyan added that in 2007, the system will be actively participating in the ARB, contributing in the development of effective and stable banking sector in the Russian Federation.
