In 2007, the international money transfers system UNIStream processed volume of transactions worth $3.7 billion, a 100 percent increase compared with 2006 when the system turnover reached $1.85 billion.
The analysis department of the company reported steady growth throughout whole 2007. While in the first three months the system reached the amount worth $500 million, UNIStream increased the volume to $795 million in the second quarter. The third quarter demonstrated $1.15 billion. In the fourth quarter the transactions grew to $1.3 billion.
In his comments to the high operational results, the CEO for the system Souren Hayriyan said that the success the company has reached is due to intensive realization of the strategy targeted on developing its service point network in Russia, CIS and globally.
He reported that last year the company signed partnership agreements with 66 financial institutions in Russia, 36 in CIS and 14 globally.
The number of the UNIStream’s members soared to 330. The number of service points of UNIStream globally increased from 25 000 to 65 000, plus its own networks has intensively been developed in Russia, Cyprus and Great Britain.
The company plans to further step up its operational activity, with the focus on transformation into a solid global market player.
