In April – June of 2008, the international money transfers system UNIStream processed transactions worth $1 bln. 300 mln, a 64-percent increase compared with the same period of 2007 when turnover reached $790 million.
Thus, in the first half of 2008, the whole amount of transactions exceeded $2 bln. 170 mln., an 88-percent growth within a year period. In January June of 2007, the amount of transactions was $1 bln. 288 mln.
In his comments to the results, the CEO for the system Souren Hayriyan said that UNIStream keeps the high growth indicators, developing its strategy to meet growing demand for quality services.
“Throughout the 6-month period, the system actively stepped its partnership network in Russia, CIS and worldwide,” Hayriyan said.
It signed agreements with 20 financial institutions. By the end of June, the number of partners grew to 330 while the network has reached 70 000 service points globally.
“The market has demonstrated not only high growth rates but also growing demand [coming from clients] for the quality of services. The system has been developing all projects to increase its competitiveness and further step up its financial and operational indicators,” Hayriyan said.
