The amount of transactions of the international money transfer system UNIStream reached RUR51.14-billion turnover in Jan-June of 2009. The company’s analysts believe in spite of sharply negative market situation, the volume of transfers has not undergone through a decline compared to the same period of 2008. In the first six months of 2008, the system processed transfers worth RUR51.8-billion.
In the second quarter of 2009 the turnover reached RUR30.5 billion.
The company reported the number of clients increased. The number of transactions grew by 3 percent to 2.57 million.
The CEO for UNISTream Souren Hayriyan believes the system has demonstrated good financial and operational results in the conditions when the market was shrinking.
He said the performance was mainly due to intensification of works to develop partnership networks in Russia, CIS and worldwide. In Jan-June, Hayriyan reported, the system signed and launched 10 partnership projects. UNIStream entered the second half of the year in partnership with over 350 financial institutions around the globe.
He said the launch of Unistream Germany was an important milestone in system’s international development in 2009.
